About Us

As a small family business, we have drawn on our connection with our own furry/feathered family members to empathise and help others during their time of loss. We have experienced our own pets passing and will inevitably do so again. Knowing we have honoured them and treasured their memory is hugely important to us as we are sure it is to you too.

We realised that our local area didn’t really have a pet cremation service that offered farewell tributes in person, or virtually, and we would have to travel a fair distance if we wanted to say farewell in this way. We wanted to change that for the local community.

Having a background in healthcare gave valuable insights into the pet cremation business. The compassion, communication and empathy developed in a healthcare setting being essential when working with pet owners during emotionally challenging events.

We have completed the course and certification with the International Association of Pet Cemeteries and Crematories. We aim to ground our business on ethical, transparent and compassionate behaviours, working toward improving our services wherever we can.

We are aware that losing a pet can be one of life’s most challenging experiences and we have strived to simplify our process for you and make decision making as easy as possible at such a difficult time.

Gary Ditchfield, wearing a navy blue "Remember Me Pet Cremations" shirt, sits in the driver’s seat of a white company van with the business logo displayed on the side. The van also shows the contact number and website for the pet cremation service. Gary smiles warmly, conveying a sense of compassion and professionalism.

Meet Gary

After working in the production industry for many years, Gary knew it was time for a change, he wanted to focus on a career he could be passionate about. He truly is the heart behind Remember Me, and founded the company because he knew he could support families through one of the most difficult moments of pet ownership. Despite starting a business surrounded by such sadness, he was sure he was the type of person who could support and bring compassion to those navigating a very personal grief. He is a proud pet parent and pet grandparent, and is guided by the belief that every pet deserves a meaningful farewell.

A large brown Shar Pei dog is lying down on a white tiled floor. The dog has a wrinkled face and body, characteristic of the breed, with small folded ears and a broad snout. Its front paws are neatly positioned in front, and it appears calm and relaxed.

Malcolm

Likes to be addressed as “Sir Malcolm”. If he looks like he is looking down his nose at you, he probably is.

Dislikes: Getting wet, vet visits and seeing the suitcases come out.

Likes: Heated blankets, sleeping in, and enjoying his retirement.

Winston, a joyful grey Staffordshire Bull Terrier, is sitting on a wooden boardwalk in front of a beach. He’s wearing a black harness and a red collar, with his mouth open and tongue out in a wide, happy grin. Behind him, vertical railings frame the sandy beach and calm ocean water in the background.

Winston

Fondly known as “courage” he is a big softie who is afraid of his own shadow. Doesn’t understand personal space and is HEAVY!

Dislikes: Vacuum cleaner, lack of leftovers, his own company.

Likes: Belly rubs, EXTRA treats, and staycations with his Gran and Grandad.

Walt, a curly-haired brown Labradoodle, is sitting on an outdoor cushioned bench. He’s wearing a red bow tie with a festive pattern and has a slightly tilted head, giving him an inquisitive and endearing expression. The background features a brick wall, a window, and a timber fence with greenery.

Walt

Looks like butter wouldn’t melt but don’t be fooled, he is a whirlwind of mischief.

Dislikes: Loud noises, strangers, and socks.

Likes: Tennis balls, big walks and snuggles with Mum and Dad

A small green lovebird with a pale yellow chest and an orange patch on its forehead is seen through a circular opening, possibly the end of a pipe or tube. The bird is facing slightly to the right, perched against a softly lit white background. The framing gives a tunnel-vision effect, drawing focus to the bird in the centre.

Bowie

Is very vocal, but alas, is no Celine Dion. Loves fuss and makes his presence known.

Dislikes: Winston getting too close, anyone else when his mum is around.

Likes: His mum, head pats, whistling (dances).
